Non-Vincentians help out, too!

Report in SVDP-LA newsletter shows how work of Vincentians Inspires non-Vincentians
Lenten Soup Night is funded by donations from conference members, who provide canned soup and rolls, she said.  In addition, some non-Vincentians “have just chimed in and helped,” Frederick said.  One woman in particular, a Precious Blood parishioner for more than 50 years, provided delicious homemade soup for the conference’s second dinner.

…Last year, with the support of Precious Blood Catholic School students, who donated staples such as peanut butter, jelly, rice, beans and canned vegetables and soup, the conference provided food and gifts for more than 100 families, she said.  In addition, and also thanks to the monthly coffee and donut sales, the food baskets included hams and turkeys, she said.
