Sisters of Providence Donate Building to Benefit Charity

“The building always benefitted women so it is particularly meaningful to us that once these newest plans come to fruition, young women will again be the beneficiaries.”The Sisters of Providence recently donated the building they originally used as a dorm for nursing students of the former Providence Hospital School of Nursing to Girls, Inc. of Holyoke by setting their asking price at $1. Prior to the “sale,” the SPs also assumed the cost of removing an underground oil tank.
