Just over 20 years ago on 9 April 1993, Good Friday Lindalva Justo De Oliveira (39) was brutally murdered by a resident of Dom Pedro II Home. Her story is movingly told in a video prepared by the Daughters of Charity.
Because the date of her death, 9 April, generally falls during Lent or Easter, her memorial has been set for the date of her baptism, 7 January. See the Vincentian Encyclopedia for more details.
